Jennifer Hudson is reportedly "not bitter" about the current trial into her family's murders.
The Dreamgirls actress is bravely sitting through the rest of the four-week trial of William Balfour, who stands accused of murdering her mother Darnell, brother Jason and nephew Julian, in 2008. Jennifer even gave evidence on the first day of the trial, telling the jury that she "never liked" Balfour.
However, a source close to Jennifer says that her strong faith in God is keeping her strong throughout the difficult trial.
"Her faith has kept her from becoming bitter and while she wants Balfour convicted - obviously - her faith is keeping her from becoming a hater," the insider told the Chicago Sun-Times.
"She knows that would destroy her and impact negatively the lives of both [fiancé] David [Otunga] and her beautiful baby boy, David Jr. That girl is all about faith and family. Pure and simple."
Prosecutors are working with the theory that Balfour murdered the family after believing that his ex-wife and Jennifer's sister Julia was seeing another man.
