American singer Beyoncé has made a donation of $1 million to help black-owned small businesses as a way of celebrating her 39th birthday.
Two days before her birthday, her philanthropic foundation BeyGOOD had announced that it is partnership with the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP).
This donation will definitely be a great help to the black-owned small businesses as many of them have been impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. The announcement made by BeyGOOD reads;
“Proud to announce $1m in additional funds from Beyoncé to help black-owned small businesses. Round two of funding opens this month, with our partner NAACP,” the foundation wrote in an Instagram post shared two days before Beyoncé’s birthday.
