12 Children Rescued From Trafficker In Anambra State


The Nigerian Police force have rescued a total number of twelve Children from one suspected 55 year old child trafficker identified as Nkechi Odinye in Anambra State.

The state police spokesman Haruna Mohammed said in a statement;

“It would be recalled that on the 22/10/2019 following intelligence report, Police detectives attached to Anambra State Command arrested three female suspects at Nkpor market/Tarzan junction in Idemili North LGA of Anambra State,”

“Investigation revealed that the children were stolen from Gombe State by one Hauwa Musa ‘f” on the 20/10/2019 and brought to her accomplices in Anambra State.

According to Mohammed, the suspects had confessed during the interrogation that they steal the children, and sell to their sponsor Odinye and she allegedly buys the children from the abductors at the rate of N200, 000 to 400,000 naira depending on their age and gender.

The 55 year old was apprehended at her hideout at Obosi in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State with twelve children of various age brackets, comprising of 8 boys and 4 girls
