It has been reported that some Northern states do not find faults in the operations of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) due to the security situation in the area.
This was announced by Simon Lalong the executive governor of Plateau state and the chairman of the Northern Governors, while speaking to State House Correspondents.
The Governor, while speaking on the disbandment of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), said what is needed is the reformation of the unit to enable it discharge its functions optimally.
According to him, SARS had its bad elements as well as operatives who carry out their work diligently.
He also made a caution that the baby should not be thrown away with the bath water as the police unit had been useful in the fight against insecurity in the north.
