Willian Speaks On Why He Left Chelsea For Arsenal

The Brazilian stated he is at Arsenal to help them shine again and Mikel Arteta has backed him to do it.

Gunners boss Arteta reckons he has signed a winner and a difference-maker after finally confirming the 32-year-old free transfer as his first summer signing.

The winger, who has signed a three-year contract worth over £150-000-a-week, insists it’s time to bring the glory days back.

The Brazil winger said;

“I decided to join because Arsenal is one of the biggest clubs in the world. They have a new project with Mikel Arteta.

“I think this club deserves to shine again and I want to be a part of this project – to be a part of the Arsenal family is amazing. I’m very happy to do that.

“I come to try to win trophies, because this club deserves to win again, and I think you have to do the best as possible to win every game.
